There are four main components to a forensic interview:

  • Non-Verbal Behavior

This includes the study of body language and facial expressions.

  • Statement Analysis

Proven techniques to decipher the spoken and written words of others can lead to a deeper insight into a person's thought processes, motives, and intentions.

  • Investigative Interviewing

Starting with a curious and mindful mindset, professionals learn how to transform their approach to interviews and conversations using the Realtime Cognitive Conversation (RC2) model. The RC2 model includes tools and techniques to develop highly effective interviewing strategies. The goal is to enable deep probing conversations, identify areas of potential deception, and steer the conversation towards the desired outcome of verifying critical facts and data behind a disputed situation.

  • Deception Detection

An enhanced understanding of verbal and non-verbal communication give the investigator an improved ability to recognize signs of deception, with a goal to elicit critical data and uncover the truth.

Deceptive behavior exhibited by a corporate executive, divorcing spouse, or business finance officer often leads to a path of discovery for hidden assets, fraud, or financial mismanagement.
